Barnes & Associates, began independent trading in 1996. In direct response to an increasing need for advice, Barnes & Associates was formed to promote modern management techniques within the field of tree care, to both the domestic and commercial sectors. Following several years of successful contracting and consulting as Four Seasons Tree Services, it became apparent that in order to promote and maintain a more independent standing, the business had to become separate. The two companies were able to concentrate on separate areas of expertise. Our advisory service initially involved simple health and safety assessments, mortgage reports and small scale planning applications. This has since evolved to cover larger projects, including development site assessment and management, planning authority surveys, complex planning applications and appeals in addition to other areas of Arboricultural expertise. We have strived to develop an holistic approach to tree management through detailed survey /assessment programmes, which allow for the sympathetic and economical retention of tree cover where appropriate. The management of trees within development sites is now a major sector of our work. Through consultation with architects, engineers and planners, we can assist in the safe retention of trees allowing developments to blend in with their surroundings thus minimising their impact upon the broader landscape and potentially increasing market value. We have the ability to work within AutoCAD enabling fast data exchange between the design teams involved in a project. The team here at Barnes & Associates are continually attending seminars and training courses enabling the most up to date methods and solutions to be provided. A full continuous professional development (CPD) of our team is available if required. Ian Barnes is a registered consultant of the Arboricultural Association and Professional Member of the Consulting Arborist Society (uk) amongst other memberships. Barnes & Associates has established a solid reputation for its professional approach and its ability to provide practical and cost effective solutions to the most challenging problems. Continuing industry research enables us to offer the most up to date advice, and by pursuing the most advanced technologies, clients can be assured of receiving definitive answers. The company is well respected as indicated by the steady flow of repeat business and welcomes the opportunity to discuss in confidence and at the highest level, solutions for our clients. Clients requiring tree surveys and / or general advice, are invariably and quite naturally concerned about the cost of such undertakings. We are always pleased, therefore, to provide fee proposals and quotations prior to accepting a brief, taking into account the size, location and the extent of investigation / input required. Appropriately timed tree surveys can provide crucial information allowing optimum development potential thus avoiding redesign or planning expenditure. The company takes pride in both the quality of service and its competitive scale of fees. If you require further information or feel that an initial meeting to informally discuss any proposals would be of benefit, please do not hesitate to call.
