TreeQuinetic (tree pulling)
There are two major types of tree failure: uprooting and breaking. The pulling test can be used to assess the breaking and uproot safety of a tree by pulling it with a cable using a known force (measured by forcemeter) and simultaneously recording its reaction.
The results of this test can be combined with other information relating to site use; internal stem condition and wind loading allows an assessment of the trees current stability, and enables forecasting of the trees ability to withstand storm events.
